Plan and make a piece of furniture or other woodwork project under tutor guidance
You choose your project and we guide you through the process of planning joinery, making drawings, sourcing timber and then making your project in the workshop
The Makershed Level 3 Woodwork Classes are for making furniture and other small scale items using hand tools and traditional joinery techniques. We do however, own a number of hobby sized power tools and level 3 woodworkers are permitted to use these tools where the use of hand tools would be particularly problematic or onerous. Please see our Power Tools Policy for details.
LEARN HOW TO:
- Plan your own project
- Choose timber and joinery
- Add new joints to your repertoire
Furniture projects vary a lot in the time in takes to complete them. Having completed the level 1 and 2 courses with us, you will be aware that making furniture by hand requires time and patience and the number of classes you require will depend on your project and work speed.
