MIXED LEVEL DAYTIME CLASSES
Our Thursday and Friday daytime classes run 10.30am – 3.40pm every week during academic term times and the fee is £60 per day excluding materials.
These classes are made up of a mix of woodworkers following the level 1, 2 and 3 courses and all tuition is given on an individual basis at each student’s bench. You will be part of a group of students all at different stages of their projects, which makes for a rich and varied learning environment.
Thursday and Friday daytime classes can be booked individually to suit your calendar. These are our estimates for how long it will take you to complete each course:
Woodwork for Beginners Level 1: 5 daytime classes
Woodwork for Beginners Level 2 – The Box: 6 – 8 daytime classes
Woodwork for Beginners Level 2 – The Cabinet – 12 – 15 daytime classes
Woodwork Level 3 Furniture Projects – as required for each project
One of the great things about these classes is that you can progress through the courses at your own pace. Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can take their time, and faster workers or perhaps those with some woodwork experience already can work through the courses content more quickly. We can tailor your classes to meet your needs and preferences.
To book in to take a course just select the dates that you would like to attend from the drop down menus above. You can book as many or as few at a time as you like – if you want to try a class and then book in for more if you like it, that’s fine by us. Put the date(s) in your basket, add in your course materials, and go through the checkout process to book your space. If you complete your course in fewer classes than you’ve booked due to a faster work speed, then we will refund you for full classes that you don’t use.
On the first day of your level 1 course we will ask you to come in a half hour early (10am) if possible, to settle you into the workshop and get you started before the rest of the group arrives.

We run waiting lists for cancellation spaces on all of our fully booked courses – to be added to a waiting list please email hello@themakershed.co.uk. Please consider including your telephone number, as spaces sometimes become available at short notice.
